Privacy in our commercial activity

If you want to learn more or evaluate a collaboration, we are here.

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Why you are reading this page

If you work for a company that owns or operates a biogas or biomethane plant, your name and professional role may be held in our commercial records, even though you never gave them to us directly. This page explains why, what we process, for how long, and how you can stop it at any time.

Who processes your data

The data controller is Carmine Faralli.

For any request concerning your data, write to privacy@fare-group.com.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as none of the cases listed in Article 37 of the Regulation applies.

What we process

We process professional data only: first and last name, role held, the company you work for and, where available, a professional contact detail.

We do not process private data. We do not collect personal mobile numbers or personal email addresses found in public sources: our systems do not look for them and our records have no fields to store them. We do not process special categories of data, such as health or beliefs, nor data relating to criminal convictions.

Where the data comes from

The data comes from public sources relating to your company: its website, press releases and publications, lists and rankings published by public bodies, registers of administrative procedures. It may also come from a colleague who named you as the relevant contact, or from your company switchboard.

We do not buy contact lists and we do not use commercial databases of personal contact details.

Why we process it

We process it to prepare and manage business contact with your company, concerning the services we offer in the biogas and biomethane sector.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation. The interest pursued is the ordinary conduct of business between companies in the same sector. We have assessed in writing that this interest does not override your rights, taking into account the strictly professional nature of the data, the context in which you made it available, and the limited scope of the processing.

What we do not do

We do not send you automated communications. Every contact starts from a decision made by a person working with us.

We do not profile you. Our assessments concern plants and companies, not individuals. We do not take automated decisions concerning you within the meaning of Article 22 of the Regulation.

We do not sell or disclose your data to third parties for commercial purposes. We do not transfer it outside the European Union.

Your data may be processed by the IT service providers we use, appointed as processors and bound by contract.

How long we keep it

If we do not contact you, we keep your professional data for twelve months from the date it was recorded.

If we contact you and no business relationship follows, for twelve months from the last contact.

If a business relationship begins, for its duration and thereafter for the periods required by contract and tax law.

If you object to the processing, we keep the objection with no time limit: it is the only way to guarantee that you will not be contacted again.

Your rights

You may ask us to give you access to your data, to rectify it, to erase it, to restrict its processing and to receive it in a readable format, under Articles 15 to 20 of the Regulation.

You may also object to the processing at any time under Article 21. Where the objection concerns commercial purposes, your request alone is sufficient: we are not required to carry out any assessment and we stop immediately.

You can exercise these rights by writing to privacy@fare-group.com. We reply within one month, extendable by two further months in the cases set out in Article 12(3), of which we will inform you.

You can also object simply by telling the person who calls you: your request is recorded and has the same effect as a written one, applying to your whole company and to all our staff.

If you believe the processing infringes the Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, following the instructions at www.garanteprivacy.it, or bring proceedings before the courts.
