Our automated reading systems

How to recognise our automated requests and how to ask us not to read your site.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Who we are

FAR.E Group operates in the biogas and biomethane sector in Italy. For its commercial activity, it uses a program that reads public web pages.

What we read

Publications by sector bodies and operators, such as rankings, notices and tables published by energy service managers and gas transmission operators. We periodically check, typically once a day or once a week, only the listing pages of these publications, to notice new ones. We download only the new documents.

Company pages of sector businesses, such as the company presentation, services, registered office and general contact details. We read these only when needed, one company at a time, not at regular intervals and not across an entire site.

We read only public pages. We do not access restricted areas, we do not bypass authentication systems, and we do not attempt to defeat protection measures or anti-automation checks. If a site prevents us from doing so, we stop.

How to recognise us

Our requests identify themselves with this user agent:

FARE-SalesOffice/1.0 (+https://www.fare-group.com/bot; salesoffice@fare-group.com)

How we behave

We follow the instructions in the robots.txt file.

We make one request at a time per site, spaced a few seconds apart.

If the site asks us to slow down or returns an error, we wait before retrying.

We do not follow redirects to sites other than the one requested.

We do not collect personal phone numbers or personal email addresses, and we do not read pages dedicated to individuals, such as team pages.

We do not republish the content we read: the information remains for internal use only.

If you do not want to be read

You can write to us at salesoffice@fare-group.com stating the domain concerned. We suspend the reading and record the exclusion, without asking you for reasons.

Alternatively, you can add the following to your site's robots.txt file:

User-agent: FARE-SalesOffice
Disallow: /

Personal data

Where reading public pages leads us to collect data relating to an individual, that data is strictly professional. It is covered by our privacy notice on the processing of personal data in our commercial activity, which also explains how to object.
