Your plant,
under control.
From a phone.
Methan.IQ is the platform for the day-to-day operation of biogas and biomethane plants: the plant team follows defined procedures and records every load from a phone, while the owners see every day what goes into the digester and what comes out.
The field executes. The asset manager governs.
Methan.IQ works for the people who manage the plant, not in their place: it puts the daily work in order and brings the numbers to those who decide.
Four moments.
One flow.
From the loading plan to the morning report: every step leaves a data point, and every data point reaches those who decide.
The plan reaches the field.
The loading plan comes in from a file, feedstock by feedstock. The operator records from a phone how much has been loaded; any surplus becomes a credit for the next day.
Every delivery, checked.
At delivery the app checks that the feedstock is approved and in the plan. If it is not, it asks for explicit confirmation and records it.
No surprise stock-outs.
Deliveries against forecast, week by week, and always up-to-date stock, with an alert when a feedstock will not cover the next 7 days.
Every morning, the numbers to those who decide.
The owners receive by email the summary of the previous day: production, loaded against prescribed, deliveries against forecast and deadlines.
Born in the feedstock yard
of a real plant.
At a biogas plant we ran with our own operators on site, every load had to be traced and every feedstock had to be the one in the recipe. Spreadsheets were not enough.
That is how Methan.IQ was born. We built it for our own work, and today we also offer it to plants that run their own operations.
Everything that happens
at the plant, in order.
Features already in daily use in production, built around real plant problems.
Guided loading
The loading plan comes in from a file, feedstock by feedstock. The operator records from a phone how much has been loaded. Loading more than planned is not lost: the surplus becomes a credit for the next day. At the end of the day the figures are closed and can no longer be changed.
Feedstock certifiability
At delivery, the app checks that the feedstock is approved and included in the plan. If it is not, it asks for explicit confirmation and records it.
Deliveries against forecast
Week by week and feedstock by feedstock, how much arrived in the storage bunker compared with what was expected.
Stock levels
Always up-to-date stock, with an alert when a feedstock will not cover the next 7 days.
Daily email report
Every morning the owners receive a summary of the previous day: production, loaded against prescribed, deliveries against forecast and deadlines, with deviations highlighted.
Diagnostic simulator
Compares the theoretical production expected from the recipe with the measured one. The gap is not hidden: it is exactly the information that tells you where to look.
Plant performance
Energy produced and the trend of the last seven days, right on the app's home screen.
Sustainability report
Feeding and deliveries for the period in two Excel files, with a filter for approved feedstock only.
QR rounds
Plant rounds are recorded by scanning a QR code, straight from a phone.
Everyone sees what they need.
Operators have clear procedures at hand. Owners and asset managers have the numbers to decide.
Operators
- Defined procedures, step by step
- Everything from a phone, no paper forms
- Loads, deliveries and checks recorded on the spot
- Rounds recorded by scanning a QR code
Owners and asset managers
- A report every morning, without having to ask
- Deviations from the plan highlighted
- Non-approved feedstock flagged and traced
- Decisions made on numbers, not impressions
The platform works for the asset manager, not in their place.
From the first email
to a closed day.
The report arrives
The owners read by email how the previous day went.
Checked on arrival
Every incoming feedstock is checked against the plan.
Recipe followed
The operator records from a phone how much has been loaded.
Checks on record
The plant round is recorded with the QR code.
Day closed
The figures are consolidated and become tomorrow's report.
A monthly subscription
per plant.
Two service levels, depending on how much support you want from us. The price depends on the plant: we present it during the demo.
Oversight
For plants run by their own team that want a solid method and tool.
- Onboarding and team training
- Support
- Periodic audit
- Operating procedures
Full governance
For owners who want us to follow the plant with them, every week.

Methan.IQ at a glance
What is Methan.IQ?
Methan.IQ is a platform for the day-to-day operation of biogas and biomethane plants. Operators record loads, deliveries, checks and rounds from a phone; the owners receive a daily report with production, loaded against prescribed and deliveries against forecast.
Who develops Methan.IQ?
Methan.IQ is developed by FAR.E Services, a FAR.E Group company. It grew out of the work on a biogas plant run by FAR.E with its own operators on site.
Do I have to hand my plant over to FAR.E Group to use it?
No. Methan.IQ is also available to plants that run their own operations.
How much does Methan.IQ cost?
Methan.IQ is offered as a monthly subscription per plant, in two service levels. The price depends on the plant and is presented during the demo.
